On December 3, 2009 the Alumni Resource Center (ARC) administered by American Councils for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS hosted a special presentation on 2012 UEFA European Football Championship was conducted by Viktor Andrusiv, Deputy Editor, Information Centre “UKRAINE-2012”.The session was mainly focused on Ukrainian issues regarding EURO 2012 and included included, but was not limited to:- Tournament history- Political and economical issues- Expectations from Ukraine- Organizations involved in preparation and conductionPreparation challenges and so far results The presentation was followed by informal discussion with Viktor and network building. On October 26, 2009 ARC and Kyiv EducationUSA Advising Center hosted a special presentation on the US educational opportunities and undergraduate programs in the US. The presentation was held by admission officers of two American Unievrsities - University of Northern Iowa (Cedar Falls, IA) and Iowa State University (Ames, IA). We discussed: Educational opportunities in the USA; Undergraduate programs in the USA; Application process and tips for applying; Standardized tests.

Dear Alumni, On Thursday, October 8, Kyiv Alumni Resource center is organizing an American Culture/US History night in our library hall beginning at 17.00. We will be watching the film "Frost/Nixon", having a discussion about that period in American history and eat pizza! The first partof the evening we will discuss the background of the Nixon presidency and especially te Watergate period. We will also share actual presidential recordings of this period prior to watching the film. The focus will be on this part of American history and how events shaped future polititians and presidents. If you are interestedin US history and politics, please join us for this event.
